In a word: whimsical

In a sentence: Whisked away by the worlds of fiction, Don Quixote decides to create his own.

Synopsis: The fantastic Don Quixote de la Mancha, having read too many books on chivalry decides to take matters into his own hands. The self-made knight sets foot on a quest to roam Spain with his squire Sancho Panza in search of wrongs to right, battles to win, and damsels to save.

Reactions: This book made me giggle. The illustrious Don and his insatiable squire make an eccentric couple even without their continued mischief and the mischiefs played upon them. Often cited as the first great novel, Don Quixote struck me as a bit medieval, which, to be fair, it is. It was, however, a pleasant read.

Read if: you'd enjoy a good frolic. There is much merriment to be had with Don Quixote as your main character
